Year 33,333.
Underground, the last human community, worn down by time and resignation, lives among the ruins of our shattered world.
Within this community lives a woman with a sad and gentle gaze, her face wrinkled and weary with grief. Her name is Tokatoka.
Years earlier, her daughter — the reason for her existence, the glimmer of light in this desolate world — disappeared.
Since that day, nothing has made sense to Tokatoka anymore. The question “why?” remains unanswered; there is no “because” for her to hold on to.
Tokatoka then decides to leave her community and set out for a place no one has ever gone before. She will dig upward, toward the unknown, determined to find an answer to her “why?”
